Associate, Financial Services (Calgary)

We are seeking an associate to join a top-tier Financial Services group in Calgary. The role focuses on transactional finance matters across lending, leveraged finance and structured finance, acting for both lender- and borrower-side clients on domestic and cross-border transactions.

The team handles a broad range of asset classes including syndicated and asset-based lending, project and energy finance, equipment and real estate finance, and securitisations. The group is collaborative and regularly works on complex, market-leading financings.

• Prior experience in transactional financial services matters—syndicated lending, leveraged finance or structured finance.
• Call to the Alberta bar (or eligibility) and experience advising on Canadian finance transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills; commercial judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, client-facing environment and manage multiple matters to tight deadlines.
