Apply in confidence →Seeking a junior-to-mid-level associate to join a land use team in Denver advising on entitlement, zoning, permitting and related land development matters. The role involves preparing land use applications and development agreements, coordinating with municipal and regulatory authorities, and supporting multi-stage real estate development projects.
The team advises clients across industries including energy, aerospace, mining, hospitality and outdoor recreation, and works on matters from due diligence and site assemblage to obtaining zoning entitlements, permits and certificates of occupancy. Candidates should be prepared to manage a varied workload and collaborate with transactional and environmental colleagues as needed.
Colorado Bar admission or eligibility for prompt admission is required.
- 2–5 years' experience in land use, zoning, real estate development, or related regulatory matters
- Experience with entitlement and permitting processes and interacting with municipal/government authorities
- Experience drafting land use applications, zoning analyses, development agreements, or similar materials preferred
- Familiarity with Colorado land use laws and local regulatory frameworks is a plus
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills; attention to detail
- Admission to the Colorado Bar or eligibility for prompt admission
