Apply in confidence →Experienced litigation associate sought to join a national defence and coverage litigation team focused on marine, energy (including renewables) and transportation matters. The team handles personal injury, cargo loss, motor carrier and broker liability, property damage and business interruption claims for insurer and non-insurer clients.
Work includes litigation at trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts, with matters handled across the United States and particular activity in the Gulf Coast region. The role involves drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting research, preparing for and attending depositions/hearings/mediations, and supporting trials and appeals.
The team values strong writing and analytical skills, collaborative work across offices, and the ability to manage multiple matters to deadline. A Gulf Coast connection is beneficial but not required.
- Admitted to practice in New York
- 5–6+ years of litigation experience (defense/coverage experience preferred)
- Proven research, writing and analytical abilities
- Experience preparing pleadings, managing pretrial work, and supporting trials and appeals
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills
