The role focuses on deal execution across buy- and sell-side M&A, GP-stakes, minority investments, carve-outs and joint ventures.
Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting and coordinating multi-jurisdictional due diligence, advising on regulatory and compliance issues affecting transactions, and project-managing deal teams. The role offers exposure to fund structures and regulated asset-management matters and includes mentoring junior team members.
Light hybrid working flexibility may be available (up to one day remote per week).
- J.D. or U.S. equivalent and admission to the New York State Bar
- Approximately 3 years post-qualified experience in M&A at an international or national law firm
- Demonstrable experience on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity and carve-out transactions
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills for purchase/merger agreements, investor/fund documents and related corporate documentation
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to asset managers and funds and ability to manage regulatory diligence
- Experience supervising junior lawyers and coordinating multi-disciplinary deal teams
