Day-to-day work includes advising clients, attending interviews with investigative bodies, analysing evidence, drafting witness statements, briefing counsel and managing a personal caseload with regular billing and financial oversight. The role requires adherence to client protocols and contribution to internal networks and firm-wide objectives.
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with police station accreditation and criminal litigation experience.
- Experience representing police officers in disciplinary investigations and handling inquests.
- Willingness to work variable hours and to travel; full driving licence required.
- Strong communication skills with sensitivity handling client matters.
- Financially literate with experience meeting productivity/fee income targets and billing protocols.
- Team-oriented, proactive, with attention to detail and strong IT skills (Word and case management systems).
