Associate — Private Equity / M&A, Sydney

Join a leading global firm's Sydney corporate team as a junior associate within the Private Equity & M&A practice. You will work on complex, high-value transactions for top-tier PE sponsors and corporate clients across diverse industries.

The role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure and the chance to develop technical drafting, transactional and commercial skills within a collaborative team. Typical work includes PE investments and exits, public and private M&A, growth capital and general corporate advisory.

The team provides structured training, mentoring and clear progression for candidates looking to build a recognised PE/M&A practice.

• 3–4 years post-qualification experience in Corporate / M&A, ideally with private equity exposure
• Strong technical drafting and transactional skills; comfortable managing multiple workstreams to tight deadlines
• Commercially minded, proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication skills
• Team player with attention to detail and motivation to contribute to client development
