Associate — Private Healthcare (Clinical Negligence)

Exciting opportunity for a clinical negligence Associate to join a national healthcare litigation team, with roles available in Birmingham, Sheffield or Newcastle on a hybrid basis. The team advises and defends private hospitals, clinicians and medical insurers on a broad range of clinical negligence and related liability matters.

You will manage and progress contested clinical negligence claims, provide advice on insurance and coverage issues, and represent clients at inquests and judicial review proceedings where required. The role suits someone comfortable handling complex, sensitive and high-value matters and working with insurer and trust clients.

• 3–5 years' PQE (UK-qualified solicitor or CILEX) with relevant clinical negligence experience
• Proven claims handling experience and client-facing skills
• Knowledge of insurance/coverage issues relevant to medical malpractice
• Experience of inquests, court advocacy or judicial review is desirable
