A dedicated pro bono Associate role within an established Australian law firm’s Wills & Estates practice. You will coordinate pro bono referrals and initiatives, support wills and estate administration matters, and help develop templates, agreements and training materials to grow the firm’s pro bono program.

The role requires strong internal and external stakeholder engagement: working with community legal centres, organising clinics and workshops, preparing resources and contributing to community legal education. There is scope to lead and participate in secondments and volunteer placements across the program.

This position includes occasional short-term travel to run remote wills workshops (a few days to a week, up to four times a year). The team offers structured mentorship and regular exposure to senior lawyers and community partners.

Qualified lawyer with approximately 2+ years PQE and exposure to Wills & Estates, pro bono practice, community legal centres or the not‑for‑profit sector
Strong drafting and analytical skills; ability to assess legal issues and prepare high‑quality legal documents and precedents
Highly organised and process‑driven with experience managing competing priorities and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Confident relationship builder with experience supporting junior lawyers and engaging external partners; willing to undertake occasional short‑term travel for community workshops
