Associate - Professional & Financial Risks (Bristol)

A specialist insurance litigation team seeks an Associate to join its Professional & Financial Risks practice in Bristol. The role focuses on defending insurance broker negligence claims and acting for brokers in commercial disputes, within a busy professional indemnity caseload.

The post-holder will manage a varied docket—from lower-value matters to multi-million claims—working alongside specialist colleagues and taking responsibility for file handling, client communication and contributing to business development and process improvements.

• 2-5 years' PQE with litigation experience; experience handling insurance broker negligence claims preferred
• Strong litigation and case-management skills, including pre- and post-litigation conduct
• Clear commercial judgment and client-focused communication skills (oral and written)
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills and commitment to confidentiality
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and delivering work to agreed service levels
