Experienced real estate disputes associate role within a national real estate litigation team based in Manchester. The team acts for public and private sector commercial clients on a wide range of property disputes and works closely with projects, construction and wider real estate groups.

Work will primarily involve commercial landlord & tenant matters (including 1954 Act issues, alienation, break rights and dilapidations), development-related disputes and strategic advice (including rights to light), property contracts, property-related insolvency and other real property disputes such as rights of way, adverse possession and restrictive covenants. There are also opportunities to assist on residential landlord & tenant work.

The role includes client relationship-building focused on the North-West market, proactive participation in business development, and collaborative, firm-wide working. The employer promotes diversity, inclusion and ESG-aligned working practices.

2+ years' post-qualification experience in commercial property dispute resolution
Practical experience with landlord & tenant disputes (1954 Act, dilapidations, break/alienation issues), development disputes and rights to light
Experience of property-related insolvency and other real property disputes (rights of way, adverse possession, restrictive covenants)
Strong technical legal skills, commercial awareness and ability to solve complex legal issues
Team player with client-facing experience and ability to prioritise and manage files (Lexcel-compliant file management)
