Join a specialist public law and regulation team advising on administrative and regulatory matters across sectors such as energy, health, water, education, life sciences and food and drink. The team advises on both contentious and non-contentious public law issues including judicial review, statutory and regulatory appeals, human rights and equalities, statutory interpretation, and legislative drafting.

The role offers close supervision within a compact team, collaborative cross‑disciplinary work with in‑house and external advisers, and opportunities to engage with government departments, regulators and regulated entities. The post is Birmingham‑based with occasional travel to the London office and to client sites. Hybrid working and flexible working arrangements are supported.

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE)
  • Demonstrable aptitude for complex public law and regulatory work; previous specialist experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong academic record and excellent legal research, drafting and advocacy skills
  • Willingness to travel to the London office and to client sites as required
  • Appointment subject to SRA clearance, evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and DBS checks where applicable
