Join a national Specialist Liability team handling complex civil claims against police and other public bodies, including false imprisonment, misconduct, Human Rights breaches and related public-liability matters. The role offers responsibility for a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated claims, with opportunities to expand into abuse, discrimination, deprivations of liberty, misfeasance and inquest work.

The team operates on a hybrid basis across multiple offices in England & Wales; remote-based candidates will be considered. You will draft court documents, manage disclosure of sensitive material, proof witnesses, attend conferences and trials (with counsel), and provide commercially aware, client-facing advice.

1–8 years PQE in civil litigation (police/public-body claims strongly preferred)
Practical knowledge of false imprisonment, Human Rights Act and PACE
Proven litigation experience including preparing defences through to trial
Ability to handle factually and legally complex cases, manage sensitive disclosure and proof witnesses
Comfortable working collaboratively in a hybrid environment and meeting chargeable hour expectations
