Join a national litigation costs and funding team handling costs recovery, budgeting and negotiation across defendant insurance work, subrogation and multi‑million commercial disputes. The role is open to candidates based in Cardiff or Manchester (UK) on a permanent basis.

You will prepare and serve bills of costs, Precedent H budgets, Points of Dispute and Replies, compile hearing bundles and draft instructions/briefs to counsel. The role involves direct negotiation with opposing parties and liaison with fee earners and clients, plus contribution to business development for the unit.

The team works closely with project management, legal project management and technology colleagues, providing opportunities to support large litigation projects and improvements to processes and workflows.

Qualified Costs Lawyer, or qualified by experience, with a minimum of 4 years' litigation experience.
Proven ability to prepare bills of costs, Points of Dispute, Replies and Precedent H budgets; able to manage own caseload.
Strong negotiation and communication skills with experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Commitment to delivering excellent client service and adherence to professional compliance standards.
