The role involves acting on leases and option agreements, conducting title and transactional due diligence, and supporting financings, acquisitions and disposals for clean energy developments.
You will work closely with corporate, banking, planning and regulatory colleagues, run your own files, take early responsibility for client delivery and contribute to business development within the sector-focused team.
The team is large and active in the UK renewables market, advising developers, investors, lenders and public bodies across a wide range of onshore energy projects. The culture emphasises collaboration, technical excellence and hybrid working.
- Scottish-qualified solicitor (Law Society registered) with 0–3 years' PQE in real estate
- Practical experience on future/renewable energy projects (e.g. solar, wind, battery storage) is required
- Experience drafting leases/options, carrying out title reviews and transactional due diligence
- Strong commercial awareness, communication skills, ability to manage workload and willingness to support business development
