Leading international law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level real estate associate to join its US real estate team. The role will sit across US offices, with current hiring focused on New York and Chicago, and involves advising on a broad range of domestic and cross-border real estate transactions and financings.

The successful candidate will work on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, joint ventures and real estate financings for institutional and corporate clients. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transactional documents, conducting and coordinating due diligence, and supporting other practice groups on real estate matters. The role requires strong commercial judgment, excellent drafting and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters to tight deadlines.

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree; admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction where applying
Minimum of 3 years' real estate transactional experience at a large law firm
Experience representing borrowers and lenders on real estate financings across asset classes (e.g. commercial, multi-family, industrial, mixed-use, data centres, hospitality)
Experience conducting lease, title and survey review and preparing due diligence reports
Strong drafting, legal research, oral and written communication skills; excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple matters under pressure
