Apply in confidence →Our client, a leading international law firm with a significant presence in Mexico, is seeking junior associates to join its Energy practice in Mexico City. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, cross-border energy matters in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The ideal candidate will have up to three years of post-qualification experience and a strong interest in developing a career in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Draft and review agreements, contracts, and transactional documents.
- Conduct legal due diligence for transactions and energy projects.
- Assist with regulatory matters related to the energy sector.
- Support the structuring and development of energy projects.
- Coordinate with clients, external advisers, and authorities on transaction follow-up.
- Prepare legal memoranda, opinions, and research.
- Work directly with senior associates and shareholders on complex matters.
- Law degree and professional license.
- No more than three years since obtaining the law degree.
- Professional experience in corporate, transactional, energy, or related legal matters.
- Experience in energy projects or natural resources is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proactive, organized, and team-oriented.
Terms: Full-time, on-site position with an indefinite-term employment agreement.
- Law degree and professional license.
- No more than three years since obtaining the law degree.
- Professional experience in corporate, transactional, energy, or related legal matters.
- Experience in energy projects or natural resources is preferred.
