Our client, a leading international law firm with a significant presence in Mexico, is seeking junior associates to join its Energy practice in Mexico City. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, cross-border energy matters in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have up to three years of post-qualification experience and a strong interest in developing a career in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Draft and review agreements, contracts, and transactional documents.
Conduct legal due diligence for transactions and energy projects.
Assist with regulatory matters related to the energy sector.
Support the structuring and development of energy projects.
Coordinate with clients, external advisers, and authorities on transaction follow-up.
Prepare legal memoranda, opinions, and research.
Work directly with senior associates and shareholders on complex matters.

Requirements:

Law degree and professional license.
No more than three years since obtaining the law degree.
Professional experience in corporate, transactional, energy, or related legal matters.
Experience in energy projects or natural resources is preferred.
Advanced English proficiency.
Excellent analytical, drafting, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proactive, organized, and team-oriented.

Terms: Full-time, on-site position with an indefinite-term employment agreement.
