Associate — Regulatory & Public Law (FDI), Vienna

Experienced associates with a strong interest in public law and foreign direct investment are sought to join a leading international firm’s Vienna team. The role involves advising national and multinational clients on regulatory public law issues and investment screening matters across a range of sectors.

Day-to-day work includes providing strategic regulatory advice, supporting transactional regulatory aspects, preparing submissions for administrative proceedings, managing FDI filings and coordinating multi-jurisdictional clearance processes with international colleagues. You will monitor legislative developments at Austrian and EU level and work on matters touching product regulation, energy, telecommunications, healthcare and other sensitive sectors.

• Completed Austrian legal studies with above-average results
• Excellent German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and an interest in regulatory, policy and geopolitical developments
• Relevant experience or specialised academic work (LL.M., dissertation, internships, research or law firm experience) is advantageous
