The position is open to candidates based in Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham and sits in the Strategic Contracts team, which handles matters from routine commercial drafting to large outsourcing and supply‑chain arrangements.

The role involves advising private and public sector clients across sectors such as transport, utilities and industrial engineering, supporting corporate and real estate transactions, and working closely with colleagues across offices and jurisdictions. There are opportunities for client contact, structured business development and cross-practice collaboration.

2–6 years PQE in commercial/contract work
Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills with detailed knowledge of a range of contract types
Commercial awareness and ability to advise on wider issues affecting contracts (e.g. TUPE, data protection, competition considerations)
Excellent attention to detail, research skills, and ability to manage competing client demands and tight deadlines
Good client-facing and business development skills; at Senior Associate level, experience of coaching or supervising junior lawyers and supporting BD initiatives
