A growing planning & environment team within a national practice is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate with 3–7 years post-admission experience to be based in Brisbane. The team advises public and private sector clients on advisory and litigious matters across planning, environment, infrastructure and cultural heritage.

The role offers substantive exposure to development strategy, statutory planning, infrastructure and environmental work, cultural heritage matters, and planning & environment court proceedings. You will receive hands-on mentoring from senior specialists and join a small, collaborative team with scope to help shape and grow the practice in Queensland.

Applicants should be motivated, client-focused and comfortable working across multiple files. This opportunity suits candidates from strong planning & environment teams in private practice or government who want to develop courtroom experience where relevant and progress within a market-leading practice.

3–7 years post-admission experience in planning & environment law
Experience in land use, zoning, statutory planning and/or environmental matters (private practice or government)
Interest in or exposure to planning & environment court work; willingness to undertake advocacy
Strong drafting, commercial judgment and ability to manage multiple matters
