A highly regarded law firm
Apply in confidence →A national Projects, Infrastructure & Construction (PIC) team is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join on a hybrid basis. The role is open to lawyers based in any of the firm's UK offices and will sit within an established team that handles both contentious and non-contentious construction and projects work.
The team advises across infrastructure, energy, real estate development and public-sector projects and acts for a range of corporate, developer and public-sector clients. You will work on post-contract advice, contractual disputes, adjudications, arbitration and court proceedings, with opportunities to support and lead on significant project matters.
This is a hands-on role with clear progression prospects: you will develop technical construction expertise, support business development and contribute to team strategy while mentoring junior fee-earners.
- Qualified solicitor (SRA or equivalent) with 1–5 years PQE in construction/projects work
- Experience of both contentious and/or non-contentious construction work; candidates with strength in one area who wish to develop a mixed practice are welcome
- Familiarity with standard industry forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC)
- Experience of adjudication, arbitration and Technology & Construction Court proceedings
- Knowledge of common construction issues (delay, disruption, defects, payment claims, building/fire safety) and insolvency matters affecting projects
- Strong commercial awareness, business-development aptitude, and excellent communication and organisational skills
