A national Technology, Media and IP team is expanding and seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Sydney office. The role will sit within the firm s technology and data protection practice and work on privacy, data security and technology-related matters across corporate and regulatory streams.

Responsibilities include advising clients on privacy compliance, cross-border data transfers, incident response and data-security controls, drafting and negotiating technology and data-sharing agreements, and supporting commercial technology transactions. The team services a range of industry clients and works closely with other practice areas on multidisciplinary matters.

Associate or Senior Associate level with relevant experience in privacy, data protection and data-security matters
Practical experience drafting and negotiating technology and data-related agreements (e.g. data processing, SaaS, outsourcing)
Familiarity with Australian privacy law and cross-border transfer issues; regulatory and incident-response experience advantageous
Strong drafting, communication and client-facing skills; able to work collaboratively in a national team
