The position involves advising on strategic filing, clearance, prosecution, oppositions and non-use proceedings for domestic and international clients.
You will work closely with senior trade mark specialists and IP disputes colleagues on complex, large-scale portfolios across sectors such as technology, media, telecommunications and consumer goods. The team emphasises collaboration, use of advanced electronic tools and a client-focused approach.
This role is suited to a pragmatic, commercially minded trade mark lawyer who wants exposure to varied trade mark work and opportunities to contribute to business development and cross-practice initiatives.
- Qualified solicitor admitted in Australia
- 1.5–4 years PQE (trade mark / IP experience)
- Practical experience in trade mark prosecution, filing and clearance work
- Experience preparing submissions, opposition and non-use proceeding materials and evidence
- Comfort liaising with foreign agents and managing international portfolios
- Strong research, drafting, communication and client-facing skills; team-oriented and commercially focused
