The role offers exposure to wet and dry shipping disputes, admiralty procedures, bill of lading and charterparty matters, international arbitration and English High Court litigation. You will work on casualty-related disputes, vessel arrests, recovery of vessels under security, and a variety of commercial shipping arrangements.
The firm supports flexible working and encourages applicants from varied routes to qualification. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in client-facing work and business development for the maritime practice.
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent (e.g., Legal Executive)
- Preferably maritime-focused with contentious experience (shipping disputes, admiralty or related litigation/arbitration)
- Experience with vessel arrests, charterparty/bill of lading disputes, or marine casualty claims advantageous
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills; able to work independently and in teams
- Commercial mindset and aptitude for business development and client relationship building
