Costs Lawyer — Litigation

Join a national law firm’s specialist Costs and Advocacy team handling high‑value and complex costs matters across commercial and personal injury litigation. The team supports matters from budgeting and reserving through to settlement or detailed assessment, regularly attending CCMCs and advocacy hearings.

The role is open to qualified Costs Lawyers and to junior candidates who are studying toward the Costs Lawyer qualification. The post can be based in Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham and will involve working closely with fee‑earners throughout the lifecycle of cases.

• Qualified Costs Lawyer or studying for Costs Lawyer qualification (junior appointments considered)
• Experience with both claimant and defendant costs work preferred (drafting budgets, bills of costs, Points of Dispute, Replies)
• Practical advocacy experience and attendance at hearings
• Strong negotiation, written communication, attention to detail and ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectively
