Apply in confidence →National tax controversy group in a leading international law firm is hiring associates for its US offices. The team advises US and multinational corporations, tax-exempt organizations, and high-net-worth individuals on complex contentious tax matters across federal, state, local, and cross-border matters.
Work includes representation in sensitive investigations, penalty and whistleblower matters, transfer pricing and partnership disputes, SALT issues, and criminal tax matters. The group frequently coordinates with appellate and trial teams and leverages relationships with tax authorities to resolve disputes efficiently.
Open to candidates across multiple US offices (including major financial centers). A writing sample is required with applications.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to at least one US bar or pending admission
- 2–5 years' experience handling complex tax controversies and disputes (US federal, state/local, or cross-border)
- Experience in one or more of: corporate tax disputes, partnership tax, transfer pricing, SALT, criminal tax, or tax investigations
- Strong written advocacy skills — writing sample required
