Growing tax group in the Palo Alto office is seeking associates from law school classes 2020–2023 to join a busy, technically sophisticated practice. The team advises on a mix of transactional and transactional-adjacent tax matters and is active on corporate deals, capital markets work, fund formation, and real estate/REIT matters.

Candidates should have solid tax research and writing skills, strong academic credentials, and practical experience on strategic or private equity M&A, capital markets (including spin-offs and IPOs), investment fund formation, and/or real estate tax matters. The group places a premium on interpersonal skills and client-facing experience; associates will be expected to work closely with colleagues and participate in client meetings and public speaking opportunities.

Law school class of 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023
Demonstrable tax research and writing ability
Experience with M&A, capital markets, fund formation, and/or real estate/REIT tax matters
Top academic credentials and strong analytical skills
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills; comfort with client-facing work and public speaking
