Apply in confidence →Experienced tax controversy associate opportunity with a leading international firm’s U.S. tax practice. The role supports complex disputes and litigation involving multinational groups, cross-border transactions (including transfer pricing), partnerships, family offices and high‑net‑worth individuals.
Associates will perform legal research and drafting, assist in case strategy and management, interact with clients and other advisors, and participate in hearings, depositions and negotiations. The role is collaborative but requires the ability to work independently on substantive matters.
- JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
- 3–5 years of tax controversy experience at a law firm, large accounting firm, or relevant government position (e.g., IRS Chief Counsel, DOJ, Tax Court clerkship)
- Strong legal research, writing and oral communication skills; cover letter and writing sample required
- Familiarity with international tax issues and transfer pricing, and experience with partnership/private client tax matters preferred
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; excellent organization and attention to detail
