Tax Associate (Fund Formation)

Our client, a leading law firm, seeks a tax associate with 2-5 years of experience to join its fund formation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background advising fund sponsors and investors, preferably with venture capital or private equity funds, and experience with investment fund formations, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures. This role requires a high level of motivation, excellent problem-solving skills, strong client relations abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent matters. Candidates should have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school. This position is available in Chicago, New York, or Palo Alto.

• Represent fund sponsors and investors in fund formation matters, including venture and private equity funds.
• Advise on primary and secondary investments and joint ventures.
• Manage multiple client matters concurrently while maintaining strong client relationships.

Compensation is expected to range from $235,000 to $365,000 annually, depending on location and experience. • 2-5 years of tax experience representing fund sponsors and investors, preferably focused on venture funds and private equity funds.
