A leading international law firm seeks an associate to join its tax practice with a focus on fund formation. The role involves representing fund sponsors and investors across a range of investment fund matters, with an emphasis on venture capital and private equity funds.

The work spans fund formations, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures. The successful candidate will handle several concurrent ongoing matters and work closely with clients on sophisticated, high-volume transactions.

This position may be based in Chicago, New York, or Palo Alto.

2–5 years of tax experience representing fund sponsors and investors
Focused experience with venture funds and private equity funds
Background advising on investment fund formations, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures
Strong client relations skills and ability to manage several concurrent matters
High level of motivation, initiative, and excellent problem-solving ability
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
