Associate — Tax (Transactional)

Growing transactional tax team in the Bay Area seeks an associate to support a broad slate of cross-border and domestic corporate transactions. The group advises private equity, corporates, financial institutions and emerging companies on tax aspects of M&A, financings and restructurings.

Associates will work on deal-focused tax issues, prepare and review transactional tax documentation, collaborate with deal teams across US offices, and receive structured training and mentoring from senior tax lawyers. Candidates may be based in either the firm’s San Francisco or Silicon Valley office.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission (or eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of law-firm experience focused on transactional tax work (experience on M&A matters preferred)
• Strong technical tax drafting and research skills; comfort working on cross-disciplinary deal teams
• Commercial judgment, excellent written and oral communication, and ability to manage multiple matters
