Top-tier international law firm is seeking an associate to join its US trial & defense team focusing on product and general liability matters. The role is open to candidates for the firm’s California offices (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Irvine) and involves working alongside experienced trial lawyers and an aviation practice group on complex casualty and catastrophic-injury litigation.

Typical responsibilities include managing a docket of active matters, leading investigations, drafting and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing and arguing motions, and preparing pre-trial and trial filings. The role requires regular interaction with opposing counsel and clients and participation in mediations and trials.

Admission to the California bar
1–5 years of litigation experience with substantial product/general liability exposure
Proven experience taking/defending depositions, drafting discovery, pleadings and motions, and preparing trial materials
Strong legal research and writing skills; comfortable using Westlaw or equivalent
Excellent oral advocacy, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage a multi‑matter caseload
