Business Litigation Counsel — Litigation, New York

Senior counsel-track attorney sought for a busy business litigation group in New York. The role focuses on defending and prosecuting commercial matters, with a strong emphasis on consumer-finance and loan-related litigation.

This is a counsel-track (non-partner-track) position with a reduced billable-hour expectation compared with traditional partner-track roles. The team handles matters in both state and federal courts and seeks candidates ready to take on significant courtroom and case-management responsibility.

• 3+ years of litigation experience representing companies and/or financial institutions, with experience in single-plaintiff matters
• Direct experience with consumer finance and loan-related litigation (contracts, loan agreements/modifications, wrongful foreclosure and related mortgage litigation) preferred
• Proven civil procedure knowledge, including taking/defending depositions and drafting pleadings
• Admission to practice in New York required; licenses in MA, NJ, or PA a plus
• Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills
