Leading international law firm seeks a Capital Markets partner to grow and lead its China capital markets practice from the Beijing or Shanghai office. The role involves originating and advising on equity and debt offerings, cross-border listings, and other securities transactions for domestic and international issuers.

We are looking for a senior lawyer who can manage complex transactions, mentor junior lawyers, and build client relationships across Greater China. A portable practice or demonstrable ability to originate significant work in the region is required.

Established partner-level experience in capital markets transactions (equity, debt and listings).
Strong relationships with corporate issuers, sponsors, investment banks or other market participants in China.
Track record of originating and leading cross-border securities matters; portable client base desirable.
Experience supervising teams and developing junior lawyers; excellent commercial judgment and client management skills.
