Capital Markets Partner — Toronto (mining focus)

Leading global practice is hiring a lateral partner to strengthen its Toronto capital markets team. The role is focused on capital markets and securities work with a strong preference for candidates who have experience acting for mining-sector issuers and investors.

The ideal candidate will run a portable capital-markets/special-situations practice that dovetails with M&A and securities mandates, and will collaborate closely with banking, insolvency and competition colleagues on cross-disciplinary matters.

• Established partner with a portable book of business and proven origination ability
• Significant experience in capital markets and securities transactions; M&A experience an asset
• Strong background or a track record of work for mining-sector clients preferred
• Experience leading deals and managing client relationships across finance, banking and restructuring matters
