Apply in confidence →Join a leading international law firm on a 12-month, full-time contract to support the Client Commitments team within Risk & Compliance. The role is open to candidates in Australia (Brisbane or Sydney) and will operate as a global advisory position handling client terms and compliance queries across offices.
You will review and negotiate a broad range of client-drafted and commercial contracts (outside counsel guidelines, framework agreements, NDAs, engagement terms), advise fee-earners on risk and compliance implications, and work closely with other functions to ensure business readiness for compliance changes and client commitments. The team is commercially minded and delivers digital and advisory products to support the business.
- Legal qualification and eligible to practise in Australia.
- Proven experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including client-drafted engagement terms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable liaising with partners, fee‑earners and cross‑functional teams.
- Good commercial judgement, problem‑solving ability and attention to confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in compliance, risk management or in‑house legal advisory roles is advantageous.
