Apply in confidence →Mid-level associate role in a top-tier EU competition practice based in Brussels. The team advises on merger control, cartel and abuse investigations, state aid and recently developed areas such as the Foreign Subsidies Regulation, DMA/DSA and ESG-related regulation.
The role offers responsibility on cross-border mandates and regular interaction with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. You will draft legal memoranda, regulatory submissions and Court pleadings, support hearings, liaise with clients and coordinate more junior lawyers.
The team values commercial judgment, strong drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients. Occasional international travel may be required.
- Membership of an EEA Bar (required)
- Typically 3–5 years' post-qualification experience in competition/antitrust or EU law at a leading firm
- Experience in one or more of: merger control, investigations, state aid, Foreign Subsidies Regulation or digital/ESG regulation; EU litigation experience is an advantage
- Excellent research, drafting, analytical and client-facing skills; collaborative team player
