Seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join a busy conflicts/risk team in the Chicago office of a large national/international law firm. The role focusses on identifying, analysing and resolving potential conflicts of interest related to new matters and lateral hires across firm offices.

The successful candidate will conduct conflict clearance reviews, prepare and present conflict reports, advise business and legal stakeholders on screening and waiver strategies, and assist with engagement-letter and outside‑counsel guideline reviews. The role requires independent judgment, timely response to requests, and close collaboration with internal committees and legal teams.

J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
Approximately 2 years' related experience in conflicts, legal risk, or professional responsibility
Familiarity with conflict-of-interest databases and time-entry systems
Proficient with legal research tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication, organisation, and analytical skills; ability to handle confidential information and meet tight deadlines
