The Opportunity

Join a leading organisation in a flexible, hybrid-arranged legal consultant role based in Melbourne, for a duration of 6–12 months. This is a full-time opportunity designed to strengthen your legal career while offering flexibility and support.

About You

You are an experienced construction lawyer with at least 5 years' experience, ideally gained in private practice or in-house at a large organisation. You bring a strong track record in construction, infrastructure, and major projects law, and you are comfortable advising on contract drafting, negotiation, procurement, and project delivery issues.

Key Experience and Expertise:

Experience advising on construction, infrastructure, and major projects law
Strong background in procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and project delivery contracts
Knowledge of procurement frameworks, tendering processes, and contract administration
Experience supporting large-scale rail, transport, or other complex infrastructure projects
Advising on project delivery issues, contractual disputes, and contract interpretation
Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to project teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with standard form construction contracts and procurement documentation
Negotiating with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and delivery partners
Working closely with project, procurement, and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle
Advising on governance, compliance, and contractual obligations in a project environment
Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with senior business leaders
Supporting complex projects from procurement through to completion
