Successful consultants work on fixed-term or ad-hoc assignments (often part-time or four days per week) that range from in-house secondments to supporting law firm deal teams. The role suits a self-directed, experienced lawyer who wants flexible, high-quality work while retaining access to substantial technical support and practitioner networks.

Right to live and work in Australia with unrestricted admission to practise in an Australian jurisdiction
Minimum ~4 years' post-qualification experience in capital markets (debt and/or equity)
Practical experience on bond issuances, MTN programmes, convertibles/exchangeables and/or IPOs and equity offerings
Experience gained in a leading law firm, financial institution or corporate (including secondments) preferred
Comfortable working as a consultant/casual or via an independent legal practice; self-starter with strong commercial judgement
Excellent communication, client-service focus, and ability to operate in complex multi-jurisdictional project teams
