National law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Litigation Senior Counsel to join its Financial Services & Capital Markets litigation team. The role is open to candidates across multiple U.S. offices, including a remote/virtual option; candidates licensed in California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio are strongly preferred.

The position focuses on defending financial services companies in state and federal court matters and handling contested mortgage-related actions and ancillary real-estate disputes. The team values strong judgment, the ability to manage multiple matters, and clear articulation of strategy to clients and colleagues.

Applicants must hold or promptly obtain an active bar license in the state where they will be based. Minimum of 8 years of relevant litigation experience in consumer finance or financial services.
Experience defending clients in state and federal courts.
Working knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and other consumer protection statutes.
Experience with mortgage servicers/originators on contested foreclosures, quiet-title actions, title disputes, or related claims preferred.
Active bar license in the hiring state or a commitment to obtain one promptly; remote candidates must be licensed in their state of residence.
Strong academic credentials, excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to handle high-volume, deadline-driven matters.
