Apply in confidence →Short-term contract role for a litigation attorney to support a high-volume commercial litigation and arbitration practice through the firm's alternative staffing program. The position is remote, with an expectation to primarily cover West Coast hours, and offers flexibility for full- or part-time schedules.
The attorney will draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and arbitration submissions; work with client teams, arbitrators, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders; and manage multiple matters with competing deadlines. The initial engagement is six months with a strong possibility of renewal for successful candidates.
This role is best for experienced litigators who want flexible, remote contract work while collaborating with firm teams to deliver efficient, high-value dispute-resolution services to institutional clients.
- Minimum 5 years litigation experience, with substantive arbitration and/or small-claims/dispute-resolution experience.
- Active bar admission in your state of residence and in at least one state where the firm maintains an office; residency/bar in AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MD, MN, MT, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, DC, or WV is preferred.
- Proven drafting skills (pleadings, motions, arbitration filings) and strong oral/written advocacy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters and deadlines, and provide high levels of responsiveness and client service.
- Availability for remote work covering primarily West Coast hours; part-time candidates must be available ≥20 hours/week, full-time candidates ≥30–40 hours/week.
