Apply in confidence →12-month, full-time (hybrid) legal consultant role supporting a major infrastructure and construction organisation in Melbourne. The role sits within a flexible legal resourcing team operated by a leading international law firm and offers exposure to complex commercial and infrastructure matters.
You will provide commercial, pragmatic legal advice on infrastructure and transport projects — with a particular focus on rail and rail refranchising — drafting and negotiating transactional and contractual arrangements, supporting project governance and approvals, and helping manage legal and contractual risks aligned to business objectives.
- Minimum ~6 years' post-qualification experience in corporate/infrastructure matters.
- Experience in top-tier private practice and/or large ASX-listed or equivalent organisations.
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure/transport (rail, roads, energy) and contractual frameworks; rail transit and refranchising experience highly desirable.
- Ability to deliver clear, commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders and support project governance and approvals.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial judgment and the ability to work autonomously.
- Current practising certificate and right to live and work in Australia.
