Join a national legal team locally based in Sheffield as a Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer specialising in Court of Protection matters. The role focuses on preparing Bills of Costs for assessment, advising clients, and supporting fee earners across a growing costs function.

You will work on inter partes and assessment bills, provide technical support and may contribute to training junior colleagues. The team offers hybrid working flexibility, wellbeing initiatives and standard employee benefits.

  • Minimum 2 years' costs drafting experience (in-house or external supplier)
  • Knowledge of Court of Protection procedure and costs assessment processes
  • Strong IT skills, accurate time recording and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Desirable: ACL qualification or ILEX Part 1 Year 1; experience working in legal departments with COP matters
