Join a national UK practice team handling trustee advisory work and death-in-service discretionary trust matters for institutional clients. The role focuses on exercising and documenting trustee discretion, assessing competing beneficiary claims and providing clear, practical advice in sensitive, high-judgement cases.

The post sits within a pensions/benefits-aligned team and will involve close collaboration with colleagues across pensions and business services. You will work on insurer-led master trust matters and support long-term institutional relationships.

The team offers a supportive, inclusive culture with flexible working options and a broad employee benefits package.

  • Qualified lawyer or legal executive with demonstrable trusts experience (contentious, quasi‑contentious or trustee advisory work).
  • Experience dealing with discretionary/death‑in‑service trust matters or contentious probate welcomed.
  • Confident exercising and advising on trustee discretion and resolving competing beneficiary claims.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear, defensible written decisions and advice.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams; comfortable supporting institutional clients.
