Join a specialist Costs team that supports a national disputes practice. The role sits within the Disputes Group and handles costs matters across commercial, construction, real estate, insolvency and IP disputes. The position can be based in either Leeds or Manchester.

This is a hands-on role for a junior costs lawyer: you will draft bills and points, assist at detailed assessment and costs management stages, prepare schedules for summary assessment and payments on account, and contribute to settlement advice under senior supervision. The team works on complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional matters and is focused on technical excellence and using technology to improve efficiency.

Experience preparing bills of costs, points of dispute/points of reply and supporting at hearings.
Familiarity with costs management: drafting precedent H budgets, precedent R reports and precedent T variations.
Experience with N260 schedules for summary assessment and schedules for payments on account or arbitrations.
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver accurate work under supervision.
