The team provides regulatory counseling, transactional support, product counseling, and incident response across a broad range of U.S. and international privacy and security frameworks.
This is a multi-office U.S. role with openings in several major cities. The position involves drafting and negotiating privacy/security provisions in commercial agreements and transactions, developing and advising on privacy and AI governance programs, and supporting incident response and compliance matters.
- 3–5 years' experience in privacy, cybersecurity, AI, or data protection at a law firm or in-house legal team.
- Experience advising on major privacy frameworks (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, COPPA, BIPA) and state breach/cybersecurity laws.
- Substantial contract drafting and negotiation experience on privacy, security, and data-related terms; experience handling privacy components of corporate transactions.
- Familiarity with AI governance and emerging AI regulatory developments preferred.
- Strong drafting, analytical, project-management, and client-relationship skills; ability to work collaboratively across offices.
- JD required and admission to the bar of the office location; relevant privacy certifications (CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM, etc.) a plus.
