Join a nationally recognised Data & Digital team as a junior data, digital and commercial lawyer based in Edinburgh. The role focuses on advisory and contract work, cross-border matters and incident response, supporting growing client demand across core sectors.

You will work on a broad mix of matters including GDPR/UK GDPR compliance, international data transfers, PECR, AI/data ethics, smart data, cyber regulation, regulatory investigations, and commercial/technology contracts on both customer and supplier sides. The position involves collaborating with colleagues across commercial, disputes, employment and legal-tech teams and supporting delivery of large-scale compliance and incident-response projects.

This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to high-profile clients and opportunities to contribute to business development, thought leadership and team strategy while developing technical expertise in data and technology law.

Qualified solicitor with ~2 years' PQE (NQ–2 PQE)
Experience in commercial, technology, data protection or contracts work in private practice or in-house
Knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR, international transfers, data/security issues and related regulatory frameworks
Strong drafting, communication and relationship-management skills; commercial awareness and attention to detail
