Top-tier national law firm is seeking an associate for its Debt Finance practice. The role involves representing lenders, borrowers and private equity sponsors on a range of debt financing matters, with regular responsibility for closing transactions and preparing transaction documents and issues lists.

The team works on secured lending, acquisition financing and debt securities matters; familiarity with UCC Article 9 and general corporate law is helpful. The hiring group values strong academic credentials, prior large-firm training, and the ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven matters.

JD (or equivalent) from an accredited law school and strong academic record
1–5 years of relevant transactional experience in debt finance or lending
Experience representing lenders, borrowers and/or private equity sponsors
Working knowledge of secured lending transactions and UCC Article 9; experience with commitment letters, acquisition financing, or debt securities a plus
Demonstrated experience closing transactions and drafting transaction documents/issues lists
Ability to manage multiple matters, strong attention to detail, and prior large-firm training
