Apply in confidence →We are seeking a partnership-track environmental associate to join a nationally recognized environmental practice. The role offers significant responsibility on complex regulatory and litigation matters and emphasizes client contact, mentoring, and collaboration within established teams.
The position is open to candidates to be based in one of the firm's U.S. offices (including Richmond or Washington, D.C.). The team advises on compliance counseling, enforcement defense, permitting and regulatory authorizations, and agency rulemaking for a diversified client base.
- Approximately 4 years of environmental law experience in private practice, government, or trade association settings
- Experience in compliance counseling, enforcement defense, permitting/regulatory authorizations, and/or agency rulemaking
- Strong drafting, oral advocacy, and client-facing skills; proven judgment and responsiveness
- Virginia bar membership preferred and required within one year of hire
