Seeking a partnership-track associate to join a nationally recognized environmental practice in one of several U.S. offices (Richmond, VA; Los Angeles, CA; or Washington, DC). The role involves client-facing work on compliance counseling, enforcement defense, litigation, permitting, and agency rulemaking.

The team values collaboration, mentorship, and long-term client relationships. Successful candidates will work on precedent-setting matters and receive active training and supervision within a team-oriented group.

Virginia bar membership is preferred and must be obtained within one year of joining if not already held.

Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience practicing environmental law
Experience in compliance counseling, enforcement defense, environmental litigation, permitting, and/or agency rulemaking
Background in private practice, a trade association, and/or government agency work preferred
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills; self-motivated with good judgment and responsiveness
Virginia bar membership preferred and required within one year of hire
