Senior associate- or counsel-level role on a Financial Services team in New York, focused on derivatives and trading documentation. The position will advise banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions on negotiating and documenting ISDAs, GMRAs, prime brokerage and securities lending agreements, and on structuring swap transactions with an emphasis on credit and credit-linked products.

The role includes providing practical regulatory guidance on the application of Dodd-Frank to derivatives transactions and working directly with clients to manage risk and optimize transactional outcomes. You will collaborate with deal teams across transactional and regulatory practices.

5–7 years of substantive derivatives experience (ISDA and other trading documentation).
Experience structuring and negotiating swaps, particularly credit/credit-linked swaps.
Familiarity with regulatory issues affecting derivatives (Dodd‑Frank) preferred.
Background in lending, secured/structured transactions, creditors’ rights or bankruptcy is a plus.
